How to Use the Passport Photo Maker

Create studio-quality passport, visa, or ID photos in just a few clicks. Follow these simple steps to generate a ready-to-print photo sheet directly from your browser.

Step 1: Upload Your Photo

  • Click the Upload Area or drag and drop your image into the box.

  • Tip: For best results, use a photo taken in front of a plain, light-colored background with even lighting on your face.

Step 2: Select Size & Crop

  • Choose your required photo size from the Passport Size dropdown (e.g., US 2x2" or UK/Europe 35x45mm).

  • Use your mouse or touchscreen to drag, zoom in, and rotate the image. Center your head and shoulders inside the crop box, ensuring your face takes up about 70-80% of the frame.

  • Click Apply Crop to lock in your selection.

Step 3: Enhance & Clear the Image

  • Navigate to the Enhancement Tools section to fix lighting and clarity.

  • Adjust the Brightness and Contrast sliders to ensure your facial features are clearly visible.

  • Use the Sharpness slider to clear up slight blurriness and give the photo a crisp, professional finish.

Step 4: Generate the Print Layout

  • Go to the Print Settings section and select the physical Paper Size you plan to print on (e.g., A4, 4x6 inches, or 5x7 inches).

  • The tool will automatically tile your cropped passport photo to fit as many copies as possible on your selected paper size, complete with faint cut lines for easy trimming.

Step 5: Download or Print

  • Download High-Res: Click this button to save the finalized photo sheet to your device as a high-quality (300 DPI) image file. You can take this file to a local print shop.

  • Print Directly: Click the Print button to open your browser’s print dialog. Make sure your printer is loaded with the correct photo paper and is set to print at "100% scale" (do not select "Fit to Page").

Pro-Tip for Acceptance: Always maintain a neutral facial expression, look straight at the camera, and make sure no hair or glasses are obscuring your eyes or eyebrows.
